River Rafting

If you are into extreme sports then river rafting is something you can not miss. In Iceland you can find some of the greatest rafting places on earth and rivers to suit both the very adventurous and those who prefer to keep things fun and effortless. Most of the rivers used for rafting are glacier rivers which run through amazing landscape and the largest bases can be found on the South Coast and not far from Akureyri, the capital of the North. Let us know if river rafting is something you would like to do and we will arrange the perfect tour, for individuals and families alike

Diving

In Iceland you can find one of the most special diving or snorkeling locations in the world, namely the Silfra rift which is situated on the tectonic boundaries of the North American and Eurasian plates. The water there is crystal clear and the level of visibility is very high. There also exists the possibility of e.g. ocean diving or geothermal diving tours. These tours are perfect for visitors with a diving permit, however if you do not have one but would like to then this can very easily be arranged. Conversely, snorkeling is something everyone can do and besides you will be getting to know Iceland not only superficially but also underwater!

Quad biking

The rough terrain of Iceland makes it an ideal destination to explore on powerful ATV’s. Ride through lava fields and mountainous terrain during all seasons and get to know places where even large super jeeps would not dare to follow. Quad biking tours can last from an hour up to half a day – contact us and we will provide you with some full throttle fun!

Snow scooter

Snow scooter tours are probably the most fun way to get to know Iceland’s glaciers up close. They are available all year, although winter certainly heightens the variety. There are several glaciers all around the country that can be explored on snowmobiles and do not worry about lack of equipment during the summer, since the operating companies will provide boots, gloves and other protective gear. Let us know if snowmobiling is something for you and we can organize tours that suit all of our self-drive adventures.

Glacier walking

Ice climbing and glacier walks provide a unique experience and a tangible sense of the forces of nature. Discover the varied formations, ice sculptures, waterways and crevasses made by the environment and the constant movements of the glacier. The top glacier walking destinations are situated close to the eruptions locations of recent years so you can also see the tangible effects of the volcano eruptions on the ice in some areas and get to know all the shades of the glaciers; black, grey, white, blue as well as clear and transparent. We will happily organize your glacier tours and include it in the trip.

Caving

Iceland truly is the place for exploring magical lava caves and rock formations. All around the country you can find amazing places where you can discover an entire underground world. Just keep in mind that cave exploring is something which is safer to do with an experienced guide, therefore if you want to get to know the subterranean side of Iceland, please let us know and we will arrange for an unforgettable experience.

Whale watching

Getting to know the gentle giants of Iceland is an extraordinary experience which should not be missed by any of our visitors. There are several companies that operate daily departures to see these amazing animals in their natural habitat from Reykjavík, however, if you are lucky enough to be passing by the North of Iceland as well, we would gladly organize an excursion from the town of Húsavík. This beautiful village can rightly be called the whaling capital of Iceland as its bay Skjálfandi is the home of numerable whale species including Mink Whale, Humpback Whale, Fin Whale, Sperm Whale and the largest animal in the world, the Blue Whale. The species that you will most likely encounter are Mink- and Humpback Whales, Dolphins and several seabirds including Fulmars, Puffins and Guillemots.
